I was fortunate enough to run in to Terry, the owner and editor ofCanadian Hot Rod Magazine a while back, and he was telling me about his idea of doing a graphic/sticker/shirt for the magazine involving a beaver and the Super Bee logo. A couple of weeks later Terry and I were throwing back sketches and finally came up with their new t-shirt and sticker.

I was asked a while back if I would contribute some art for an exhibition/auction to help raise money for Habitat For Humanity, and of course, why would I say no.

So the morning after watching one of Canada’s best hardcore bands,Comeback Kid, I sat down and let the pencil do what it does best. With no real idea in mind, I knew I wanted to do something with a coffin and a rooster, and before long it all started to come together, and the lyrics from one of Comeback Kid’s songs “Wake The Silence, Wake The Dead” just seemed to fit perfectly with the subject matter and so a couple of days later my ode to Comeback Kid was finished.

I am really happy with the outcome and this, along with a new “Tiki Lounge” pinstriped original, will be on show at the exhibition which takes place this Thursday evening, the 3rd of May at The Press Club in Toronto. Both pieces will be on auction alongside some really brilliant artists from Toronto and the rest of the world.

“Forgotten By Love” is a new illustration I finished for a book that will be released in the UK mid/end 2012 featuring some of the world’s best horror artists.
For now, until the book gets released, I am putting the 11″ x 14″ ciglee print up for sale in the store for all to purchase. The print came out absolutely awesome and will look great framed and up on the wall.

The great folks at Fuel Magazine, Australia’s top hot rod magazine, decided my iPhone photo of my green “Kustom” pinstripe panel was worthy of adding to their Phoneography page on their website. Thanks guys!

I really had fun with this “mini” watercolor painting and will definitely be doing some more of these in the future.

Another painting that has taken me a while to get done is this “Dia De Los Muertos Bigote” and I am really happy with the outcome.
You just can’t beat the outlawed mexican bandit with a mustache, that’s for sure.

After much nagging from my lovely wife, I have finally set up an online store where you can now buy some of my art and prints.
Unless otherwise stated as a “print” everything else will be one-of-a-kind, original art hand painted by your’s truly. More prints and art will be added as they become available.

Finally back from the Megaspeed Custom Car Show this past weekend, and what a great time was had.
It was an absolute honor to be pinstriping alongside some of the best in the industry. A lot of fun was had and a lot was learnt!

A huge thanks to Craig and Darren from Hot Rod Swag for organizing the event. Thanks to Danno, John, Tramp, Rollie and pretty much everyone else for being such great guys, and I look forward to pinstriping alongside everyone again real soon.

This Tiki Lounge piece was one of the panels I completed over the weekend and I shall post some more over the next week or two.

This morning could have gone a lot worse after pinstriping a glass panel, cleaning it and then having it break in my hands and cut my hand open one day before the Megaspeed Custom Car Show. But luckily it was not too big of a cut so we’re all good for this weekend.
